Bridging Journeys is driven by the vision of JP Sharma, who’s built this boutique DMC from the ground up. Starting at an early age as a local guide in Rajasthan, then a tour leader throughout India, JP has led many trips and spent time with thousands of guests. He has also restored a 300-year-old Haveli in Bundi which now welcomes guests from around the world. All this experience has gained him unique insights into what visitors to India want.
JP’s roots and his heart are in Rajasthan. Hailing from Baran in south east Rajasthan, he spent most of his childhood in Bundi. Following a chance encounter with an English couple wandering around Bundi, his initiation into the world of travel started when he was only 12 years old.
From this early start, JP began part time guiding and developed a deep-seated commitment to tourism in Rajasthan. It was this commitment and his attention to detail and understanding of visitors’ aspirations that impressed the travel manager of a major overseas tour operator. Aged 18, JP became the first Indian to work as one of their tour leaders.
In 2006 JP met Jonny Bealby - the start of a successful relationship that continues today. JP started guiding for Jonny and 3 years later incorporated Wild Frontiers India Private Ltd with Jonny as an independently run subsidiary to Wild Frontiers UK.
In 2016 JP set up Bridging Journeys Private Ltd to deliver the same level of expertise and hands-on service to new markets and explore opportunities with other operators.
JP is now focused on enhancing Bridging Journeys as a successful boutique DMC, building upon a lifetime’s knowledge of what it takes to deliver unique, memorable experiences that will bring your guests closer to the real India. He is joined by a great team of dedicated sales, operations and guest relations personnel who share his vision to deliver the best hands-on service to the guests that you entrust to us.
